Luperon Ocean Estates

EMUArchitects was contacted by the development team for Luperon Ocean Estates, a dynamic new Dominican Republic North Coast community, with a view toward providing a master plan, architectural plans for amenity and admin buildings plus a series of villa design concepts to be offered to their clients.  In addition, EMUArchitects was tasked with the expansion and re-design of portions of the master plan to reflect on-going needs of the developer.  As the master plan evolved and was finalized, EMUArchitects worked closely with the engineers responsible for the design and ultimate implementation of infrastructure sufficient to service Luperon Ocean Estates projected growth. 

The client’s criteria was focused on achieving best-in-class lifestyle driven villa designs that would accommodate the various lot sizes and customer’s direct needs for individual configurations. All this would be supported by a full range of amenities and infrastructure that included; a 3-stage blackwater treatment plant, high-end LED project lighting and solar/wind power generation that were woven into the fabric of this leading-edge resort community.  Design of individual villas and admin/amenity buildings benefited from integrated solar-electric arrays and roof-water collection with large in-ground cisterns. 

The resort development is designed to be a leading-edge luxury resort and villa community.  The aim of providing affordable luxury mixed with a measure of energy self-sufficiency and environmentally responsible concepts was met and exceeded.
